Halloween 5
Let me just say this, I like all the Halloween movies, especially this time of year.
HOWEVER and this is a very big however, its no excuse for the awful turn that the Halloween series took on parts 4, 5, and 6. This introduction of "The Thorn" as some sort of shadow quasi-governmental, X-Files type of agency that controls Michael is insane.
This one opens with the ending of part 4, little Jamie has survived Michael's attempts to kill her and most of the cast (with, of course, the exception of Dr. Loomis and Jamie) thinks he has been killed. He, of couse, comes back and starts killing young people in the midst of love making. Yet again, Michael heads for the Myer's house, where Dr. Loomis has yet again camped out for most of the movie. Michael is captured and rescued by the thorn. Lame, Lame, Lame, but not quite as lame as part 6 (which will be coming soon)..

Kill Bill
I really enjoyed
this movie. The campy yet powerful opening credits to the camera shots and sparse yet effective diagloug, this film really did it for me. The soundtrack was great, really a must get. The characters were interesting ( at least the ones explored in Vol. 1) and while many people I have talked to didn't like the anime sequence, it reminded me of
Fist of the North Star or
Golgo. The fight scenes were done by the same trainer that did
Matrix: Reloaded, so it was pretty impresive, although you could tell that it was hard for Uma to pull off. A great movie, even though some of you might not like the violence and gore, its pretty cartoonish, so I wouldn't worry about it.
